  • The Railway Sleeper Goby is a large and interesting goby. Railway Sleeper Gobies have a mostly white body with two long horizontal stripes that runs the length of their entire body.

    Railway Sleeper Gobies reach a maximum adult size of around 10 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 55 gallons in size. Railway Sleeper Gobies are very strong jumpers and need to be kept in tanks that have a tight fitting lid with no holes large enough for them to jump through if they are spooked. Railway Sleeper Gobies are mostly peaceful fish and should get along with most fish, coral and inverts in your tank. This makes them a good choice for reef tanks.

    Railway Sleeper Gobies can be aggressive and territorial to other gobies in smaller tanks as well. Railway Sleeper Gobies need to be kept in tanks with a substrate since they like to burrow. Also Railway Sleeper Gobies will sift through the sand between feeding looking for small inverts to eat.

    Railway Sleeper Gobies are carnivores and need to be fed a diet rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality meaty frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods will keep your Railway Sleeper Gobies healthy and happy.
