Description
The Cuban Hogfish is a very colorful and active hogfish. Cuban Hogfish have a mostly bright red body with the back half covered in yellow. They also have a strong white patch on the front of their body.

Cuban Hogfish reach a maximum adult size of around 8 inches and need to be kept in a tank that is at least 125 gallons. Cuban Hogfish are mostly peaceful fish, but will sometimes harass smaller fish. Cuban Hogfish will also eat some inverts, this makes them suitable for reef tanks, but only if you know that some of your inverts will be on the dinner menu.

Cuban Hogfish are very active swimmers and need to be kept in tanks with plenty of swimming room. They will benefit from tanks that are longer than they are tall. Cuban Hogfish also need to be kept in tanks with lots of establish live rock. The rock will provide them places to hide and also little inverts to eat between their feedings.

Cuban Hogfish are carnivores and need to be fed a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods such as small pieces of fresh seafood such as fish, shrimp, scallops and clams, as well as high quality meaty frozen foods and mysis and brine shrimp will keep your Cuban Hogfish happy and healthy.
