  • The Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish is a very colorful and interesting lionfish. Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish have a mostly white body that has many strong red stripes and black markings.

    Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish reach a maximum adult size of around 6 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 55 gallons. Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish are semi-aggressive fish and should leave most larger fish alone. Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish also will not bother coral, making them a decent choice for reef tanks. Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish will try to eat anything that it can fit into its small mouth, including small fish and inverts.

    Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish are shy fish and need lots of hiding places in the tank. This is best achieved with lots of live rock. Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfishs will also hide when getting acclimated to life in an aquarium. Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish have venomous quills that can inflict a very painful sting. When working in a tank with a Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish, make sure that you are aware of its location at all times.
