  • Description
  • The Dragonface Pipefish is a stunning and very colorful pipefish. Dragonface Pipefish have a long and slender body which is mostly yellow with various brown and tan markings. Each Dragonface Pipefish has a different pattern as well, making each truly unique.

Dragonface Pipefish reach a maximum adult size of around 8 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons. Dragonface Pipefish are very peaceful fish and should only be kept with other peaceful fish like pipefish and seahorses. More aggressive eaters will not allow Dragonface Pipefish to get their needed nutrition. Also Dragonface Pipefish are not the strongest swimmers, so they can't be kept in tanks with too much flow.

Dragonface Pipefish do the best when in low flow tangs with plenty of decorations to anchor themselves to. Dragonface Pipefish are considered a very hard fish to keep since they eat only very specific foods. Dragonface Pipefish mostly need live foods to stay alive. These foods include pods and brine shrimp.

Being carnivores, Dragonface Pipefish require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like Ova, mysis and baby brine shrimp and cyclopeeze can be fed to Dragonface Pipefish once they are used to eating prepared foods.
