  • The Flashing Tilefish is a stunning and extremely rare tilefish. Flashing Tilefish have a long and slender body that will change colors from white to purple and blue, giving them the nickname of the Chameleon Tilefish.

    Flashing Tilefish reach a maximum size of around 5 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 55 gallons in size. Flashing Tilefish are peaceful fish and will not bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. This makes the Flashing Tilefish a great fish for a reef tank. Flashing Tilefish have been considered very hard to keep fish since they require excellent water conditions and are very prone to jumping. Flashing Tilefish can even severely injure themselves on the walls of the aquarium if startled as they dart off.

    Flashing Tilefish require being kept in tanks that have lot of live rock and sand for the Flashing Tilefish to hide in if they feel threatened. Flashing Tilefish are very active fish and require that they are fed multiple times per day to keep up with their activity level.

    Flashing Tilefish are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods such as mysis and brine shrimp, live feeder shrimp and high quality meaty frozen foods will make sure that your Flashing Tilefish grows and thrives.
