The Queen Triggerfish is a stunning and colorful larger trigger. Queen Triggerfish have a mostly grayish tan body with a yellowish jaw and strong blue markings on their jaw and fins.

Queen Triggers reach a maximum adult size of around 20 inches and need to be kept in tanks no smaller than 240 gallons. Queen Triggerfish are aggressive fish and shouldn't be kept with smaller more docile fish and inverts. Queen Triggers also like to move around your rock work, making them a bad addition to reef tanks.

Queen Triggerfish will do amazing in large fish only tanks, adding a ton of movement and a dash of color. Queen Triggers are swim in an extremely interesting manner. Queen Triggerfish will do best in tanks with lots of live rock for them to hide in if they feel threatened.

The Queen Triggerfish is a carnivore and requires a diet that is rich in meaty foods. When the Queen Triggerfish is young foods like mysis and brine shrimp as well as high quality meaty frozen foods should keep your Queen Triggerfish healthy and happy. As the Queen Triggerfish matures it is better to feed it larger chunks of fresh seafood like scallops, shrimp, clams and fish. Food with hard shells will keep the teeth of your Queen Triggerfish ground down.

Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any questions about the Queen Triggerfish and if it's the right fish for your tank.
