  • The Flame Fairy Wrasse is by far one the prettiest of all the wrasses. Flame Fairy Wrasses have long slender bodies that are completely covered in red and yellow. Male Flame Fairy Wrasses are typically a lot more colorful than the females.

    Flame Fairy Wrasses reach a full adult size of 4 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 90 gallons. Flame Fairy Wrasses are also strong jumpers and will jump out of your aquarium if they get spooked. For this reason it is very important that you keep a tight fitting lid on your tank if keeping an Flame Fairy Wrasse with no holes large enough for them to fit through.

    Flame Fairy Wrasses are reef safe fish and will not bother other fish, inverts or coral found in reef tanks. Flame Fairy Wrasses do extremely well when kept in mated pairs as well. The Flame Fairy Wrasse also like being kept in tanks with lots of live rock for them to hide in and also pick at small inverts that inhabit the rocks.

    Flame Fairy Wrasses are carnivores and require a diet rich in meaty foods. Foods such as mysis and brine shrimp, high quality flake and pellet foods and high quality meaty frozen foods will help your Flame Fairy Wrasse stay healthy and thrive in your tank.
