The Lineatus Fairy Wrasse is one of the most striking of all the wrasse speices. Lineatus Fairy Wrasses have a multi-colored body with strong reds, purples, pinks, blues and yellows. Male Lineatus Fairy Wrasses tend to be more colorful than the females as well.

Lineatus Fairy Wrasses can grow up to 5 inches and need a tank that is at least 75 gallons in size. Lineatus Fairy Wrasses when change sex when a dominate male is not in the tank. Lineatus Fairy Wrasses tend to be very peaceful fish and get along with most other fish found in reef tanks. Lineatus Fairy Wrasses are a great choice for reef tanks, since they will not bother or pick at corals or inverts found in reef tanks.

Lineatus Fairy Wrasses tend to do the best when housed in system with lots of live rock for them to look for small meaty inverts in and also hide in when they feel threatened. Lineatus Fairy Wrasses tend to be strong jumpers and will jump out of the tank if spooked. For this reason it’s very important to make sure your tank has a tight fitting hood so the Lineatus Fairy Wrasse cannot jump out.

Lineatus Fairy Wrasses are carnivores and need a diet rich in meaty foods. Foods such as mysis and brine shrimp, high quality pellet and flake foods and high quality meaty frozen foods will help your Lineatus Fairy Wrasse grown and thrive in your tank.
