The Red Lip Cleaner Wrasse is a stunning and very rarely seen cleaner wrasse. Red Lip Cleaner Wrasses have a mostly red to yellow body that fades to black to its tail. Red Lip Cleaner Wrasses also have distinctive red lips.

Red Lip Cleaner Wrasses reach a maximum adult size of around 5 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 55 gallons in size. Red Lip Cleaner Wrasses are peaceful fish and shouldn't bother other fish, inverts of coral in your tank. Red Lip Cleaner Wrasses are strong jumpers and need to be kept in tanks that have a tight fitting hood with no holes large enough for them to jump through if spooked.

In nature Red Lip Cleaner Wrasses rely on cleaning larger fish of parasites and dead skin to get their nutrition. For this reason, Red Lip Cleaner Wrasses are hard to get to adjust to aquarium life with less and smaller fish to clean. For this reason Red Lip Cleaner Wrasses are extremely hard fish to keep and should only be kept by advanced aquarists.
