  • The Rose Band Fairy Wrasse is a very colorful and active fairy wrasse. Rose Band Fairy Wrasses have a mostly red body with faint white markings. They also have bright yellow fins. Male Rose Band Fairy Wrasses tend to be more colorful as well.

    Rose Band Fairy Wrasses reach a maximum adult size of around 5 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 90 gallons. Rose Band Fairy Wrasses should only be kept in tanks that have a tight fitting lid with no holes large enough for them to jump through if spooked. Rose Band Fairy Wrasses are peaceful fish and should not bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. This makes the Rose Band Fairy Wrasse a great choice for reef tanks.

    Multiple Rose Band Fairy Wrasses should not be kept with each other for fears of aggression. Groups of females or one male with multiple female Rose Band Fairy Wrasses should do well together. Rose Band Fairy Wrasses will do best when kept in tanks with lots of live rock in them. Rose Band Fairy Wrasses will spend most of their days picking at the rock looking for small inverts to eat between feedings. Also Rose Band Fairy Wrasse will hide in the rocks if threatened and also sleep in them at night.

    Rose Band Fairy Wrasses are carnivores and need a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality meaty frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods will keep your Rose Band Fairy Wrasse healthy and happy.
