The Arrow Crab is an interesting and unique crab. Arrow Crabs have an arrow shaped head and extremely long legs.

Arrow Crabs reach a maximum size of around 6 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 55 gallons in size. Arrow Crabs are semi-aggressive crabs and shouldn't bother too much fish, coral or inverts in your tank. Arrow Crabs can be kept in reef tanks, but they might attack some shrimp and also small slow moving fish. Keep this in mind when adding an Arrow Crab to your tank.

Arrow Crabs will do best in tanks with lots of live rock where they can hide and take shelter during the day. Arrow Crabs tend to be most active during the evening and night time hours. Arrow Crabs will most scavenge the tank for leftover meaty foods, but can also become predators. Most Arrow Crabs will be a beneficial member to your clean up crew.

Arrow Crabs are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality meaty frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods will keep your Arrow Crab healthy and happy.

Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any questions about the Arrow Crab and if it's right crab for your tank.
