  • The Electric Blue Hermit Crab is a stunning and colorful hermit crab. Electric Blue Hermit Crabs have a stunning black and blue striped body with orange antennae.

    Electric Blue Hermit Crabs reach a maximum adult size of around 2 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 10 gallons in size. Electric Blue Hermit Crabs are peaceful crabs and should bother fish, coral or inverts. Electric Blue Hermit Crabs might kill large snails for their shells through. This makes the Electric Blue Hermit Crab a pretty reef safe crab.

    Electric Blue Hermit Crabs do best when kept in tanks with lots of live rock for them to scavenge on and hid in during the day. Electric Blue Hermit Crabs are excellent scavengers and will eat most leftover foods and even some nuisance algae. Electric Blue Hermit Crabs have been known to eat cyanobacteria and green hair algae as well.

    Electric Blue Hermit Crabs are omnivores and require a diet that is rich in both meaty and green foods.
