  • Description
  • The Sally Lightfoot Crab is a very colorful and interesting crab. Sally Lightfoot Crabs have a mostly tan body with strong brown and orange markings.

Sally Lightfoot Crabs reach a maximum adult size of around 3 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 40 gallons is size. Sally Lightfoot Crabs are semi-aggressive crabs and shouldn't bother other fish, coral and inverts in your tank when small. As Sally Lightfoot Crabs grow larger they might try to eat small fish and other inverts, so please only add a Sally Lightfoot Crab to your reef tank with caution.

Sally Lightfoot Crabs will do best in tanks with lots of live rock for them to hide in during the day. Sally Lightfoot Crabs are mostly active at night, when they will scavenge the tank with leftover food and detritus. This makes the Sally Lightfoot Crab a great addition to your tanks clean up crew.

Sally Lightfoot Crabs are omnivores and will get most of their needed nutrition through scavenging. If you would like to supplement the diet of your Sally Lightfoot Crab, simply feed your tank foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and high quality flake and pellet foods.
