  • Description
  • The Stichopus Cucumber is an extremely useful member of your tanks clean up crew. Stichopus Cucumbers come in a huge variety of colors, so please make sure you are selecting the color you want when adding one to your cart.

Stichopus Cucumbers are peaceful inverts that will spend most of their lives going through every inch of your tank looking for leftover pieces of food to eat. Stichopus Cucumbers will not bother other inverts, coral or fish in your tank. This makes them a great addition for reef tanks.

Stichopus Cucumbers should not be kept with overly aggressive fish that have a taste for inverts. They do not defend themselves well at all. Stichopus Cucumbers do have the possibility of causing lots of harm to your tank if they get sucked into a pump. Stichopus Cucumbers can release toxins into the water upon their deaths. This happens very rarely and shouldn't matter on larger tanks.

Stichopus Cucumbers are omnivores and need a diet rich in both meaty and green foods. Stichopus Cucumbers should get most of their dietary needs through leftover foods, but you can supplement their diet with foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and high quality pellet and flake foods.

If you have any questions about the Stichopus Cucumber and if it's the right invert for your tank, please feel free to contact us at any time.
