  • The Crown Leather coral is a stunning and very hardy coral, making it a great choice for beginner aquarists. Crown Leathers come in a huge variety of colors and shapes as well.

    Crown Leathers are considered rather peaceful corals as well, for the most part they will not attack their neighboring corals. Some space is needed for the Crown Leather to have room to grow though. Crown Leathers can be placed just about anywhere in the tank and need both moderate to high flow rates and lighting. Place your Crown Leather coral in its desired place in the tank and then move it slightly if it shows signs of stress.

    Crown Leathers get most of their nutrition through photosynthesis, so having decently intense lighting is a must for this corals. Crown Leathers will also get some nutrients from the water column. Adding small meaty foods when feeding the tank or around evening hours will also add some extra nutrition to your Crown Leathers. Foods such as baby brine shrimp and micro-plankton are great choices.

    Crown Leather corals like to be kept in clean tanks with stable water parameters. Adding trace elements to your water will also help your Crown Leathers grow and thrive.
