Long Tentacle Plate Coral can come in a host of colors from green to purple. When its polyps are fully extended, the Long Tentacle Plate Coral looks like an anemone. The Long Tentacle Plate Coral is a somewhat aggressive species of coral and will sting any nearby coral. It is recommended that you give a good amount of distance between the Long Tentacle Plate Coral and it’s nearest neighboring coral.

Long Tentacle Plate Coral are best to be placed at the bottom of your tank on your substrate. They prefer both moderate flow and lighting. If you constantly see the polyps of a Long Tentacle Plate Coral retracted, it’s a good idea to relocate the coral and see after a few days if its tentacles are extended.

Long Tentacle Plate Corals requiring some additional meaty foods. It’s a good idea to add mysis and brine shrimp to your normal feedings, so that the Long Tentacle Plate Coral will be able to trap some. Spot feeding might be required if you feel that the coral isn’t getting enough nutrition.
