  • Description
  • Zoanthid Colony Rocks are a great way to add tons of color to your reef tank. Zoanthids have amazingly colorful polyps and grown in an encrusting manner than will cover your rockwork. Zoanthids come in just about every color of the rainbow, so please make sure you select the color you want with adding them to your cart.

Zoanthids should be placed in the middle to the top of your tank. They do best with moderate to high lighting and moderate flow rates. When you place your Zoanthid, watch them after a day or two to make sure that they aren't showing signs of stress. If they are stressed, just move them a few inches and see if they start to get better.

Zoanthids are semi-aggressive corals and will bother other corals that are too close. Not only that, but Zoanthids have the ability to grow over other corals. Zoanthids will spread and create an amazing underwater garden on your rocks. You need to take all these things into consideration when placing your Zoanthids.

Zoanthids get most of their needed nutrition through photosynthesis and shouldn't require much additional food. If you would like to supplement your Zoanthids diet, simply add meaty foods like mysis and brine shrimp or micro-plankton to your tank in the evening hours.
