  • Description
  • The Christmas Tree Coral is an interesting and elegant soft coral. The Christmas Tree Coral has long tentacles that expand during the day and resembles a Christmas tree, hence the name. Christmas Tree Corals come in shades of white, brown and black as well.

Christmas Tree Corals are mostly peaceful corals, but should still have some space between them and their closest coral neighbors to avoid contact with each other. Christmas Tree Corals are best placed lower in the aquarium or on the substrate since they do not require strong lighting. Christmas Tree Corals prefer excellent water parameters and need moderate water flow and low to moderate lighting.

Since the Christmas Tree Coral does not get its nutrition from lighting, there needs to be some small meaty foods in the water column for the Christmas Tree Coral to stay healthy. Foods like baby brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, micro-plankton and live feed shrimp can be fed to the Christmas Tree Coral to help it grow and thrive. Also adding trace elements to your tank will really benefit the Christmas Tree Coral.

Since the Christmas Tree Coral comes in various colors, make sure you select your desired color from the item options drop down list. If you have any questions about the Christmas Tree Coral and if it’s the right coral for you tank, please feel free to contact us at any time.
