  • Description
  • The Leopard Blenny is a very rare and hard to care for blenny. Leopard Blennies have a mostly white body that is covered in black spots, giving its leopard skin like appearance.

Leopard Blennies reach a maximum adult size of around 6 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 75 gallons in size. Leopard Blennies are semi-aggressive fish and will be territorial to others in their species in smaller tanks. Leopard Blennies might also bother some inverts and will eat coral. This makes them a terrible choice for reef tanks. In fish only tanks, Leopard Blennies can be a great addition.

Leopard Blennies are extremely hard to care for and keep fish. The Leopard Blenny really tends to prefer eating only hard corals. This makes it nearly impossible to care for, unless you have a large supply of coral for them to eat. Sometimes a Leopard Blenny will start to accept prepared foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp might be accepted by a Leopard Blenny. If they start to eat prepared foods, make sure that you feed them many small meals throughout the day.

Unless you are an expert aquarist of have experience with Leopard Blennies, please do not attempt to keep them. If you have any questions about the Leopard Blenny and if it's the right fish for your tank, please feel free to contact us at any time.
