  • The Allard's Clownfish is a large and colorful clownfish. Allard's Clownfish have a mostly black body with an orange mouth and fins. Allard's Clownfish also have two strong vertical white stripes on their bodies.

    Allard's Clownfish reach a maximum adult size of around 6 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 55 gallons in size. Allard's Clownfish are semi-aggressive fish that should get along with most other fish, coral and inverts in your tank. This makes them a great addition to reef tanks.

    Allard's Clownfish can hold their own against much larger fish, so should be fine to put in with other semi-aggressive fish in both reef and fish only tanks. Allard's Clownfish will also seek out a host anemone to keep them safe from larger predatory fish that aren't immune to the sting of the anemone like the clowns are. Allard's Clownfish do very well in pairs and in larger tanks can be kept with other clownfish and damsels.

    Allard's Clownfish are extremely aggressive eaters and are not picky about their food. Allard's Clownfish are omnivores and require a diet that is rich in both meaty and green foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality frozen foods and high quality pellet and flake foods will keep your Allard's Clownfish healthy and happy.
