  • The Orange Spot Filefish is one of the most stunning of all the fish we offer. Orange Spot Filefish have a turquoise blue body with bright orange spots.

    Orange Spot Filefish reach a maximum adult size of around 5 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 55 gallons in size. Orange Spot Filefish are very peaceful fish that will not bother other fish or inverts in your tank. Orange Spot Filefish main food is coral, so they make a terrible choice to add to reef tanks.

    Orange Spot Filefish are an extremely hard to keep species of fish. Orange Spot Filefish in nature will only eat coral, so it's hard to keep on in captivity and have a constant supply of live coral for them. Some people have had luck feeding Orange Spot Filefish prepared foods, but they must be trained to eat them. As you are training your Orange Spot Filefish to eat prepared foods you need to supplement their diet with coral. In time they might except foods like mysis and brine shrimp as well as high quality pellet and flake foods.
