The Bluestripe Neon Goby is a stunning and striking smaller goby. Bluestripe Neon Gobies have a mostly black body with a strong electric blue horizontal stripe along their entire body.

Bluestripe Neon Gobies reach a maximum adult size of around 2 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 10 gallons. Bluestripe Neon Gobies are very peaceful fish and will not bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. Bluestripe Neon Gobies can be aggressive to other smaller gobies, so if you want multiples in your tank, you should add them at the same time.

Bluestripe Neon Gobies are strong jumpers and will jump out of your aquarium if spooked. Bluestripe Neon Gobies should only be kept in tanks with tight fitting lids with no holes large enough for them to jump through. Bluestripe Neon Gobies will do very well in tanks with peaceful tankmates and plenty of rock for them to hide in if they feel threatened.

In nature, Bluestripe Neon Gobies will eat parasites off of larger fish. In aquariums this is really hit or miss, so don't purchase one looking for a fish cleaner. Bluestripe Neon Gobies are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like small pieces of mysis and brine shrimp and high quality meaty frozen foods will keep your Bluestripe Neon Goby healthy and happy.
