  • Clown Gobies are very cute and active gobies and great additions to smaller aquariums. Clown Gobies come in a host of colors and patterns as well, which will give a nice splash of color to your tank.

    Clown Gobies reach a maximum size of around 2 inches and can be kept in tanks as small as 10 gallons. Since Clown Gobies are so hardy, they are also great fish for beginner aquarists. Clown Gobies are very peaceful fish and will not both other fish, coral or inverts found in reef aquariums. Clown Gobies might be a little aggressive to other Clown Gobies over territory.

    It’s best to have lots of live rock and hard or branching coral in your tank if you want to keep Clown Gobies. Clown Gobies will often spend their days jumping around the live rock or perching on coral. Some Clown Gobies might nip at polyps though, so take that in to account if adding Clown Gobies to your tank. With the Clown Goby being out in the open most of the day, they are very fun to watch fish.

    Clown Gobies are carnivores and require a diet very rich in meaty foods. Foods such as mysis and brine shrimp and high quality meaty frozen foods will do wonders for your Clown Gobies and kept them happy and healthy.
