The Narrow-Lined Puffer is a very intelligent and interesting pufferfish. Narrow-Lined Puffers have a mostly light tan body with darker brown circular patterns on its body.

Narrow-Lined Puffers reach a maximum adult size of around 12 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 125 gallons. Narrow-Lined Puffers are semi-aggressive fish and shouldn't be kept with smaller fish and inverts. Narrow-Lined Puffers will seek out and eat all inverts in your tank, making them a bad addition to reef tanks.

Narrow-Lined Puffers have the ability to inflate their body to well over two times its original size to ward off any would be predators. Narrow-Lined Puffers should never be transported with a net, since this will trigger them to inflate. Also Narrow-Lined Puffers should never be made to inflate for amusement, since it is very stressful on the fish. Narrow-Lined Puffers are very intelligent and have big personalities, almost to the point of feeling like a family pet.

Narrow-Lined Puffers are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in both meaty and green foods. Foods like chunks of fresh seafood such as clams, squid, fish, shrimp and scallops will help keep your Narrow-Lined Puffer healthy and happy.

If you have any questions about the Narrow-Lined Puffer and if it's the right fish for your tank, please feel free to contact us at any time.
