  • Description
  • The Yellow Line Snapper is a very active and beautiful fish. Yellow Line Snappers have a mostly light blue body with two strong white horizontal yellow stripes running down its side. Yellow Line Snappers also have a white belly.

Yellow Line Snappers reach a maximum adult size of around 12 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 180 gallons. Yellow Line Snappers are semi-aggressive fish that shouldn't bother too many fish, coral or inverts in your tank. Yellow Line Snappers will eat some inverts, so if you want to add one to your reef tank please proceed with caution.

Yellow Line Snappers are very active fish and need a lot of open swimming space. Yellow Line Snappers will do best in tanks that have lots of live rock in them as well. Yellow Line Snappers will spend a lot their days going through the rock looking for small inverts to eat. Small groups of Yellow Line Snappers can be kept together in larger tanks without fear of aggression as well.

Yellow Line Snappers are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp and high quality meaty frozen foods will be perfect for juvenile Yellow Line Snappers. As your Yellow Line Snapper get larger it'll need more substantial foods like small pieces of fresh seafood.
