  • Description
  • The Bursa Triggerfish is a stunning mostly white triggerfish. Bursa Triggerfish have an all white body with two yellow semi-circular patters behind their eyes.

Bursa Triggerfish reach a maximum adult size of around 10 inches and need to be kept in a tank that is at least 125 gallons. Bursa Triggerfish are considered aggressive fish and will attack smaller peaceful fish and inverts. Bursa Triggerfish are considered bad fish to add to a reef tank since they will move around rocks and coral and also go after smaller fish and inverts.

Bursa Triggerfish really thrive in tanks with lots of live rock for them to hide in. Although the Bursa Triggerfish is an aggressive species, they will still get spooked and need to feel protected, so they dart into the rock work. Bursa Triggerfish should really be kept in larger fish only tanks with other semi-aggressive to aggressive larger fish.

Bursa Triggerfish are carnivores and need to be supplied a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp as well as chunks of fresh seafood like clams, squid, shrimp, fish and scallops will keep your Bursa Triggerfish healthy and happy.
