  • The Pinktail Triggerfish is a stunning large and colorful trigger. Pinktail Triggerfish have a mostly green body with yellow highlights on their face and a pink tail, hence their name.

    Pinktail Triggerfish reach a fully grown adult size of around 16 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 180 gallons in size. Pinktail Triggerfish are considered aggressive fish and should not be kept with smaller peaceful fish or inverts, or they might end up on the menu. For this reason, you should proceed with caution if you plan on adding a Pinktail Triggerfish to your reef tank.

    Pinktail Triggerfish do best with kept in a tank with lots of live rock for them to hide in. Although Pinktail Triggerfish are aggressive fish, sometimes they get startled and will dart into the rock work until they do not feel threatened any more.

    Pinktail Triggerfish are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp and high quality fresh seafood like clams, squid, shrimp and fish will keep your Pinktail Triggerfish healthy and thriving.
