  • The Titan Triggerfish is the largest of all the triggerfish. Titan Triggers have a mostly yellow and golden body with strong brown markings and a white chin.

    Titan Triggerfish reach a maximum adult size of around 30 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 300 gallons in size. Titan Triggers are considered aggressive fish and should not be kept with smaller fish and inverts. Titan Triggerfish will also move rocks around to suit their taste. For these reasons Titan Triggerfish should not be added to reef tanks.

    In large fish only tanks with lots of swimming room and other semi-aggressive to aggressive fish, Titan Triggerfish would make a stunning centerpiece fish. Titan Triggerfish despite their menacing looks can also be rather timid, so they also need to have caves where they can hid in. Titan Triggerfish have been known to attack divers who venture too close to their territories, so please pay attention while working in a tank with a Titan Trigger.

    Titan Triggerfish are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality meaty frozen foods and small pieces of fresh seafood like clams, scallops, shrimp and fish will keep your Titan Triggerfish healthy and happy. Also foods with a hard shell with keep their teeth ground down.
