  • Description
  • The Yellow and White Coris Wrasse is a colorful and unique wrasses. Yellow and White Coris Wrasse start life as a mostly yellow fish with a white belly. As they mature the Yellow and White Coris Wrasse turns more a pinkish purple in color.

    Yellow and White Coris Wrasses reach a maximum adult size of around 4 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 55 gallon in size. Yellow and White Coris Wrasses are strong jumpers and will jump out of the tank if spooked. For this reason Yellow and White Coris Wrasse need to be kept in tanks with a tight fitting hood with no holes large enough for them to jump through.

    Yellow and White Coris Wrasse are peaceful fish and should not bother other fish, coral or inverts. Yellow and White Coris Wrasses might eat some smaller inverts and feather dusters, so it is advised to add one to a reef tank with caution. Multiple Yellow and White Coris Wrasse can be kept together, but only in male female pairs or groups of females, since males with fight with each other.

    Yellow and White Coris Wrasses are carnivores and need to be fed a diet rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, meaty frozen foods and high quality flake foods should keep your Yellow and White Coris Wrasse healthy and happy.
