The Emperor Shrimp is a stunning little shrimp that normally hosts on large species like the Medusa Worm. Emperor Shrimp have a mostly red body sometimes covered in white markings. They have purple legs and claws as well.

Emperor Shrimp reach a maximum size of around 1 inch and should be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons. Emperor Shrimp are peaceful shrimp and shouldn't bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. This makes them a good addition to reef tanks.

Emperor Shrimp are carnivores and will eat meaty bits and pieces of food found around the aquarium. They make a good addition to your clean up crew. Emperor Shrimp can also have their nutrition supplemented with foods like mysis and brine shrimp.

The Medusa Worm plays a great host to the Emperor shrimp and is also a great member of your clean up crew. They will also eat lots of leftover foods and shouldn't bother coral, inverts and fish in your tank. They can be toxic if sucked into a powerhead though.

Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any questions about the Emperor Shrimp and Medusa Worm combination.
