The Peacock Mantis Shrimp is a truly stunning and interesting shrimp. Peacock Mantis Shrimp have a mostly green body with stunning green and blue multicolor highlights.

Peacock Mantis Shrimp reach a maximum adult size of around 7 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons. Peacock Mantis Shrimp are extremely aggressive and are best kept by themselves. Peacock Mantis Shrimp will kill other inverts and fish if given the chance. This makes the Peacock Mantis Shrimp a terrible addition to a reef tank.

Peacock Mantis Shrimp if kept alone provide an extremely interesting animal to watch and feed. Peacock Mantis Shrimp need to be kept in tanks with a decent substrate depth and live rock for them to create burrows and caves in. Peacock Mantis Shrimp are pretty easy to care for and make a good choice for a beginner aquarist.

Peacock Mantis Shrimp are carnivores and require a diet of meaty foods. Foods like live shrimp and fish as well as prepared foods like mysis shrimp and small pieces of fresh seafood like clams, crab, shrimp and scallops will keep your Peacock Mantis Shrimp happy and healthy.

Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any questions about the Peacock Mantis Shrimp and if it's the right shrimp for your tank.
