  • Description
  • The Young Soft Coral is a very unique and rarely seen soft coral in reef tanks. Young Soft Corals are mostly white at their base and arms with tannish brown polyps. Young Soft Corals grow in a branching manner from a large base.

    Young Soft Corals can be placed anywhere in the tank and need both moderate to high flow rates and lighting. The best way to find a good home for your Young Soft Coral is to first place it in your desired location, then watch over a day or two to see if it looks stressed or is extended. If it looks stressed, just move it slightly until it looks more extended.

    Young Soft Corals are aggressive corals and shouldn't be placed too close to coral neighbors. Young Soft Corals have the ability to increase their body size by more than double and will attack neighboring coral.

    Young Soft Corals get most of their needed nutrition through photosynthesis and the water column. You can supplement their diet with meaty foods like mysis and brine shrimp, as well as micro-plankton fed in the evening hours.
