  • Description
  • The Virgo Goby is a very colorful and active goby. Virgo Gobies have a mostly tan body with strong orange and yellow horizontal stripes. Virgo Gobies also have blue linings on their dorsal fins and tails.

Virgo Gobies reach a maximum adult size of around 4 inches and need to be kept in tanks that are at least 29 gallons in size. Virgo Gobies are strong jumpers and should only be kept in tanks that have a tight fitting hood with no holes large enough for them to jump through. Virgo Gobies are peaceful fish and will not bother other fish, coral or inverts in your tank. This makes the Virgo Goby a great addition to reef tanks.

Virgo Gobies will do best when kept in tanks that have lots of live rock and sand in them. Virgo Gobies will spend most of their days on the substrate looking for small inverts to eat between feedings. Virgo Gobies will also hope around on the rock looking for food as well. Being peaceful fish, Virgo Gobies might also seek refuge in the rockwork if spooked.

Virgo Gobies are carnivores and require a diet that is rich in meaty foods. Foods like mysis and brine shrimp, high quality meaty frozen foods and high quality pellet and flake foods will keep your Virgo Goby healthy and happy.
